Authorities Clarify eTransit e-Wallet and T-Cash Card Usage
The Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMTA) has issued an official clarification to address public confusion regarding the use of the eTransit App e-Wallet and the T-Cash physical card, emphasizing that both operate as separate and independent systems.
According to the authority, funds paid through PSID are credited only to the eTransit App e-Wallet and do not appear in the balance of the T-Cash card. The two systems are not integrated, and balances cannot be transferred between them.
PMTA explained that the T-Cash card, issued by the Bank of Punjab, functions as a standalone financial card that can be used for ATM withdrawals and shopping through Mastercard. In contrast, the e-Wallet is designed exclusively for travel payments on mass transit services and cannot be used for general financial transactions.

The authority further assured passengers that funds added to the eTransit App e-Wallet are completely safe and secure. However, users should note that balances in the e-Wallet and T-Cash card remain separate and are not interchangeable.
The clarification was issued in the interest of passenger convenience and transparency. The Punjab Mass Transit Authority urged commuters to rely on official platforms and announcements for accurate information regarding transit payment systems.
