Balochistan Launches Pink Bus Service for Women
The Balochistan government has officially launched the Pink Bus service, a women-only public transport initiative aimed at providing safe, dignified, and reliable travel for women and female students across the province.
The service was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, who said the initiative reflects the provincial government’s commitment to improving women’s mobility and access to public transport. He added that the Pink Bus service will be operated on a permanent basis.
In a message shared on social media platform X, the chief minister said the Pink Bus service is designed to support women in their daily commuting needs, especially for education, employment, and healthcare.
Officials believe the service will help reduce transportation challenges faced by women, particularly in urban areas, by offering a secure and women-friendly travel environment.

Chief Minister Bugti announced that the Pink Bus service will be expanded to other districts of Balochistan in the next phase. The expansion aims to ensure that women in different parts of the province can benefit from improved public transport facilities.
