Murree Expressway Closed to Traffic After Heavy Snowfall
The Murree Expressway has been closed to all traffic following heavy snowfall, with authorities blocking the road from Phulgran Toll Plaza to Murree to ensure public safety.
According to the Motorway Police, access has been restricted for general traffic, while local residents and emergency vehicles are being allowed to pass under strict supervision. Officials said snow-clearing operations are underway and traffic will be restored once conditions improve.
The closure comes as thousands of tourists head toward popular winter destinations, including Murree, Galyat, Nathia Gali, and Thandiani, after the season’s first major snowfall. Authorities have urged visitors to avoid unnecessary travel and follow official advisories.
