Murree Launches New Tourist Facility
The Murree administration, in collaboration with the City Traffic Police, has launched a new tourist facility aimed at improving travel convenience and road safety in the popular hill station. The initiative introduces a free vehicle recovery service for tourists and local residents, providing immediate assistance during vehicle breakdowns and road emergencies.
Launched on the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the service includes the deployment of modern recovery vehicles across Murree and surrounding areas. The facility is designed to prevent traffic congestion, especially during peak tourist seasons, and ensure smoother traffic flow on narrow and busy roads.

According to Chief Traffic Officer Murree Imran Razaq, the free recovery service is available for motorists involved in accidents or facing mechanical issues. Traffic police teams will transport disabled vehicles to the nearest workshop, offering relief to tourists unfamiliar with the area.
Officials say the new facility reflects the government’s commitment to tourism-friendly infrastructure, road safety, and visitor support, making Murree a safer and more accessible destination for travelers.
