The Punjab government has announced a major student welfare initiative under which 100,000 students will receive free e-bikes and laptops across the province. The program aims to promote education, improve student mobility, and support youth empowerment through merit-based assistance.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that the distribution of e-bikes and laptops will be carried out strictly on merit under existing student-focused schemes, including the Honahaar Scholarship Program. She emphasized that Punjab’s educational institutions are open to students from all provinces, with learners from across Pakistan currently enrolled in universities and colleges throughout the province.

The chief minister also highlighted several ongoing welfare and development projects, including the construction of affordable housing for low-income families, free home delivery of medicines, and the expansion of healthcare services. She noted that the government is also investing in specialized treatment facilities for children with special needs to strengthen the healthcare system.
