Traffic Police Shaheed Benazirabad Issues Advisory on Violations and Fines

The Traffic Police Shaheed Benazirabad have issued a public advisory warning motorists and transport operators to strictly follow traffic laws in order to ensure road safety and smooth traffic flow across the district.

According to the advisory, overloading of public transport vehicles, including carrying passengers beyond the permitted limit, will result in heavy fines for both drivers and vehicle owners. Authorities also declared driving without a valid driving license, route permit, or fitness certificate a serious offence that will attract strict legal action.

Key Traffic Violations and Penalties

The traffic police highlighted several common violations that will lead to fines and legal action:

  • Riding motorcycles or driving cars without helmets or seat belts
  • Underage driving, which will result in action against both the driver and their guardians
  • Overspeeding and wrong-side driving
  • Use of mobile phones while driving

Restrictions on Vehicles

The advisory further stated that vehicles fitted with tinted windows, fancy number plates, pressure horns, or unauthorized emergency lights will not be allowed on roads. Violators will face penalties under traffic laws.

In addition, illegal parking, road encroachments, and any obstruction to traffic flow have also been declared punishable offences.
