As New Year’s 2026 celebrations approach, residents of Karachi have been eager to know whether Seaview Road will remain open amid large crowds expected along the coastline.

Karachi authorities have confirmed that Seaview Road will remain open for the public during New Year’s celebrations, easing concerns over possible road closures.

Every year, thousands of people head to Seaview Beach to welcome the New Year with family and friends. In previous years, authorities had often restricted access to the area due to security concerns, crowd management challenges, and safety incidents.

This year, however, officials have decided to keep Seaview Road accessible while enforcing strict security and traffic control measures to ensure public safety.

According to SSP South, Seaview Road will stay open throughout New Year’s night, allowing residents to freely visit the area. The official emphasized that a zero-tolerance policy will be enforced against reckless behavior, disorderly conduct, or any activity that threatens public order.
