Punjab Govt Extends Deadline for Green Sticker on Vehicles
The Punjab Environmental Protection Department (Mehakma Tahafuz-e-Maholiyat) has officially extended the deadline for affixing green stickers on vehicles across the province. According to the department, the new deadline has been set for June 30, 2026, giving vehicle owners additional time to comply with environmental regulations.
The extension is part of Punjab’s broader strategy to improve air quality and reduce vehicular pollution by ensuring that vehicles meet approved emission standards.
The green sticker program is designed to monitor and regulate vehicle emissions in Punjab. Vehicles that pass the required environmental checks are issued green stickers, indicating compliance with emission standards set by the Environmental Protection Department.
Officials said the initiative plays a key role in identifying polluting vehicles and supporting efforts to tackle smog and air pollution, especially in major cities.
